When playing Texas Hold'em you typically won't have a made hand on the flop. Instead, you'll have a drawing hand. For example, with hole cards A-Q and a flop showing 9-5-J, your strong starting hand becomes a weak draw on the flop, with potential to improve on the turn and river.
